Zig Zag Headband Crochet Pattern
Supplies
1 Skein Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice Premium Acrylic
Size I (5.5 mm) Crochet Hook
Yarn Needle
Scissors
Abbreviations
Sc: single crochet
Ch: chain
Sts: stitches
St: stitch
Sk: skip
Sc2tog: double crochet the next 2 stitches together as if they are one
Size
Adult Regular: to fit 20-22 inches.
Notes
- The chain 1 stitches at the beginning of rows do NOT count as a stitch.
- The width of the headband is the same for all sizes. If you’d like to reduce the width of the smaller sizes (such as the baby size), you can use a slightly thinner yarn and a crochet hook that is one or two sizes smaller. Since the circumference of the headband is worked as it’s made, that measurement can remain the same.

Crochet Headband
Ch 19.
Row 1: Beginning in 2nd chain, sc2tog, sc in next 3 chs, 3sc in next ch, sc in next 2 chs, skip 2 chs, sc in next 2 chs, 3sc in next ch, sc in next 3 chs, sc2tog in last 2 chs. Ch 1, turn. (18 sts)
Row 2: Sc2tog, sc in next 3 sts, 3sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts, skip 2 sts, sc in next 2 sts, 3sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts, sc2tog. Ch 1, turn. (18 sts)
Repeat row 2 until the headband measures 20 inches.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail to sew ends together.
Thread the yarn end onto a yarn needle and bring two short ends together. Sew them together with the yarn tail.
Weave in ends.
