The Rosebud Cowl crochet pattern is one of my favorite projects to make! It’s so incredibly quick to stitch, which makes it satisfying and fun. :) In a matter of an hour you can be wearing a cute and cozy accessory. A perfect project for beginner crocheters!
Rosebud Cowl Crochet Pattern
Supplies
Super Bulky Weight Yarn (#6) – approximately 100 yards

Abbreviations
Ch: chain
St: stitch
Sl: slip
Sk: skip
Special Stitch — Rosebud Stitch
(YO, insert hook into stitch, pull up a loop) 3 times, YO, pull hook through all loops, chain 1 to secure.

The chain stitches at beginning of rows/rounds do not count as a stitch.
Gauge
Approximately .5 Rosebud st/inch.

Rosebud Cowl
Toddler
Chain 28.
Being careful not to twist the chains, join them into a large ring by slip stitching the first and last chain together. You will be working in round throughout.
Round 1: Ch 1. Rosebud st in first ch, sk next ch, *rosebud st in next ch, sk next ch; repeat from * around. Join. (14 sts)
Round 2: Sl st into first chain 1 space (this is the chain 1 that is used to secure the rosebud stitch), ch 1. Rosebud st in same sp, *rosebud st in next chain 1 sp; repeat from * around. Join.
Repeat until cowl measures 7 inches, or desired height.
Child
Chain 30.
Being careful not to twist the chains, join them into a large ring by slip stitching the first and last chain together. You will be working in round throughout.
Round 1: Ch 1. Rosebud st in first ch, sk next ch, *rosebud st in next ch, sk next ch; repeat from * around. Join. (14 sts)
