Gauge & Sizing
Approximately 3.25-3.5 sts/inch. PLEASE ADJUST HOOK SIZE TO OBTAIN THE CORRECT GAUGE.
NOTES:
- Chain stitches at the beginning of rounds do not count as a stitch. When joining at the end of rounds, join to first stitch.
- The top of the romper has a drawstring embellishment. This serves the purpose of decoration and fitting, and it allows the romper to fit a wider range of baby sizes. You may also choose to add a piece of elastic with the drawstring, for added security and fit. Or, a piece of ribbon instead of the crochet drawstring is cute too!
- Please remember that these are average sizes/ages. Not all babies are the same size, weight, and length.
You can also get an ad-free PRINTABLE PDF version of this pattern that includes 5 sizes from newborn to 24 months.

Round 3: Ch 1. Hdc in same st, hdc in next st, 2hdc in next st, *hdc in next 2 sts, 2hdc in next st; repeat from * around. Join.

drawstring
Using matching, or contrasting yarn, crochet a chain of desired length, but at least long enough to go around the entire circumference of the top of the romper with room to tie a knot or bow.
Weave in ends, and thread onto a tapestry needle and then weave the chain through the top edge of the romper.
