Notes:
- Chain stitches at the beginning of rounds do count as a stitch. When working the last stitch of each row, work into the top of chain 3.
- You will always be working the shell stitches over/above the shell stitches from the previous round, and you will always be working the dc stitches over/above the dc stitches from the previous round.
- I joined my cowl into a regular loop/circle, and then I twist it once while putting it on. If you’d like an extra twist to it, twist the piece before joining the two ends.
- If you’d like your cowl to be extra long, work the piece until it’s the desired length.

Infinity Scarf
Chain 33.
Row 1: (2dc, ch 2, 2dc) in 6th chain from hook (the first 3 skipped chains count as a dc, and the last 2 skipped chains count as 2 skipped sts), skip 2 chains, dc in next chain, *skip 2 chains, (2dc, ch 2, 2dc) in next chain, skip 2 chains, dc in next chain; repeat from * across, ending with a dc in the last chain. (26 sts)
Row 2: Ch 3, turn. *(2dc, ch 2, 2dc) in next chain 2 space, skip 2 sts, dc in next st, skip 2 sts; repeat from * across. Work the last dc in top of chain 3 from the previous row. (26 sts)
Repeat row 2 until the piece is the desired length. The cowl shown was 54 inches before joining into a circle.
Do not fasten off.
Hold two short ends of the piece together, and use single crochet stitches (or slip stitches, if you prefer) to join the ends. This is where you can decide if you’d like it to have more twist. If so, twist the piece before joining the ends. You can also choose to join the ends with a basic whip-stitch using the yarn and a tapestry needle.
Weave in ends, and wear.
