Hello,
Is this a easy beginner pattern? I would like to start making new born hats for new borns in the hospital near by.
Would this one be a good one to start with? and do you have any recommendations for yarn that would be ok for a new born, and Premature babies.
Love This Hat though….
Thank you in advance so much.
Sincerely,
Shauna

Hi Shauna,
How nice!
I would consider this a pretty easy pattern as long as your familiar with the basics of crochet and the basic stitches. :)
When I make newborn hats, I typically stick to cotton or soft acrylic yarns because you just don’t know if the babies will have an allergy or sensitivity to wool or any other natural animal fibers. Plus, the cotton and acrylic are easy-care.
Enjoy!

That’s great! I’m glad you found a nice use for this. :)

This would be great for newborns and fast enough for donations for hospitals. It’s still easy enough for me, since I’m still new T crocheting. Thank you for sharing this wonderful pattern.
