Free Baby Leg Warmers Crochet Pattern
Supplies
Worsted Weight Yarn (#4)

Size I (5.5 mm) Crochet Hook
Tapestry Needle
Scissors (try these — the cutest scissors ever!)
Abbreviations
Ch: chain
St: stitch
Sl: slip
Sc: single crochet
Dc: double crochet
Dc2tog: double crochet the next two stitches together as one (decrease)

Size
6 to 12 Months
Note:
The chain 2 at the beginning of rounds does not count as a stitch. When joining rounds, join to the first stitch.
Gauge
3-3.5 stitches/inch in double crochet

Crochet Leg Warmers
Ribbing
Chain 6.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, *sc in next st; repeat from * across. Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Working in back loop only, *sc in next st; repeat from * across. Ch 1, turn.
Repeat row 2 until piece measures approximately 6.5 inches.
Bring the two short sides together, and join the ends with a slip stitch. You will not be working the rest of the leg warmer in the round. When you are finished, you will go back and seam the ribbed edge that is not joined.
Leg section
Round 1: Ch 2. Dc 24 sts evenly around the edge of the piece. Join. (24 sts)
Round 2-10: Ch 2. Dc in same st, *dc in next st; repeat from * around. Join. (24 sts)
(Note: this is where you can adjust the length of your leg warmers. If you’d like them shorter or longer, work fewer or more rounds.)
Round 11: Ch 2. Dc in same st, dc2tog, dc in next 19 sts, dc2tog. Join. (22 sts)
Round 12: Ch 1. Slip stitch in next st, and in each st around. Join.
Fasten off. Seam ribbed section at the top with mattress stitch.
Crochet Flower
With size I crochet hook. Ch 3. Join into a ring.
Round 1: Ch 1. 10 sc in ring. Join to first sc.
Round 2: Ch 1. Sc in the same stitch as join, ch 2, *skip next stitch, sc in next, ch 2; repeat from * around.
Round 3: (Sl st, ch 1, 3hdc, sl st) in each ch space around. Join to first st.
Round 4: Ch 3. Sc around the next sc from round 2, *ch 3, sc around next sc from round 2; repeat from * around.
Round 5: (Sl st, ch 1, 4hdc, sl st) in each ch space around. Join to first st.
Fasten off. Secure to leg warmers using matching yarn.
