Ties
Using matching yarn, or contrasting yarn, cut 6 lengths that are each approximately 24-30 inches long.
Take 3 of those strands and fold them in half. Take the folded end of the strands and insert them through one of the front corners of the bonnet (until about 1-2 inches of the folded end is through), going in between two of the stitches. Take the loose ends of those strands and pull them through the loop of the folded end. Pull tight.
You will now have 6 strands hanging from a front corner of the bonnet. Divide those into 3 groups of 2 strands, and make a basic braid. Knot the end of the braid and trim ends.
Repeat for the other corner of the bonnet. Weave in ends.
