- This headwrap has quite a bit of stretch, so the finished length of each size will allow it to fit a wide range.

Easy Knit Headband Free Knitting Pattern
Cast on 5 sts.
Row 1: Knit.
Row 2: Knit.
Row 3: K1, kfb, k1, kfb, k1. (7 sts) Row 4: Knit.
Row 5: Knit.
Row 6: K1, kfb, k3, kfb, k1. (9 sts)
Row 7: Knit.
Row 8: Knit.
Row 9: K1, k2tog, k3, k2tog, k1. (7 sts)
Row 10: Knit.
Repeat row 10 until the piece measures 3 inches from the beginning.
NOTE: Keep track of how many rows you work during this section, so that you can duplicate the same number on the other end, and get the same measurements for both ties.
Begin the increasing for the main section of the headwrap.
Row 1: K1, kfb, knit to end. (8 sts)
Repeat row 1 until you have 22 sts.
Next row: Knit. (22 sts)
Repeat this row until the piece measures approximately 16” from the beginning.
Begin the decreasing for the main section of the headwrap.
Row 1: K1, k2tog, knit to end. (21 sts)
Repeat this row until you have 7 sts.
Continue with knitting each row, and working the same number of rows that you did on the other tie end (during the section where you kept track of the number of rows you worked to get to 3 inches).
Next row: Knit.
Next row: K1, kfb, k3, kfb, k1. (9 sts) Next row: Knit.
Next row: Knit.
Next row: K1, k2tog, k3, k2tog, k1. (7 sts) Next row: Knit.
Next row: Knit.
Next row: K1, k2tog, k1, k2tog, k1. (5 sts) Next row: Knit.
Next row: Knit.
Cast off.
