Free Crochet Slipper Pattern
Supplies
Loops & Threads Impeccable Yarn

Ch: chain
St: stitch
Sl: slip
Beg: beginning
Hdc: half double crochet
Sc: single crochet
2sc: work 2 single crochet stitches in the next stitch (increase)
Sc2tog: single crochet two together (decrease)

Note: These slippers can be easily adjusted to foot length, and they do have a nice amount of stretch to them.
Note
The first part of this slipper pattern is worked in the round, seamlessly. Place a marker after round 1, and move it up as you work. When the pattern indicates, begin working flat.
Cozy Slippers
With I hook. Ch 2.
Round 1: 8sc in 2nd chain from hook. Place marker. (8 sts)
Round 2: *2sc in next st; repeat from * around. (16 sts)
Round 3: *sc in next st, 2sc in next st; repeat from * around. (24 sts)
Round 4-11: *Sc in next st; repeat from * around. (24 sts)
Round 12: Sc in next 10 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 10 sts, sc2tog. (22 sts)
Row 13: Sl st in next st. Ch 1. Sc in same st, sc in next 15 sts. Ch 1, turn. (16 sts)(Note: you will now be working on these 16 sts only.)
Row 14-33: *Sc in next st; repeat from * across. Ch 1, turn. (16 sts)(Note: this is where you can adjust the length of the slippers.
If you need them shorter or longer, work fewer or more rows. They should be about the length of the wearer’s foot.)
Fold slipper so that the two edges where you left off are matched up.
Working through both layers, line up stitches and single crochet across.
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Edging
Join contrasting or matching yarn.
Ch 1. Sc evenly around the entire edge of the slipper. Join to the first stitch.
Mary Jane Strap (Optional)
Ch 11.
Row 1: Hdc in 2nd ch from hook, and in each chain across. Ch 1, turn. (10 sts)
Row 2: *Hdc in next; repeat from * across.
Join contrasting or matching yarn.
Ch 1. Single crochet evenly around the entire piece. Join to the first stitch.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail to secure to the top of the slipper.
Using a long tail, secure the mary jane strap to the top of the slipper.
Attach coordinating buttons, if desired.

Hi, have never crocheted slippers before and am wondering, when you put the edges together to single crochet through both layers at the heal – do you do it on the right side or wrong side?
