Ch: chain
St: stitch
Sl: slip
Dc: double crochet
2dc: work 2 double crochet in same stitch (increase)

Note
The chain 3 at beginning of each round does not count as a stitch. When joining at end of rounds, join to first stitch.
Crochet Pom Pom Hat Pattern
Ch 3. Join into a ring.
Round 1: Ch 3. 12 dc in ring. Join. (12 sts)
Round 2: Ch 3. 2dc in same space, *2dc in next st; repeat from * around. Join. (24 sts)
Round 3: Ch 3. Dc in same st, 2dc in next st, *dc in next st, 2dc in next st; repeat from * around. Join. (36 sts)
Round 4: Ch 3. Dc in same st, dc in next st, 2dc in next st, *dc in next 2 sts, 2dc in next st; repeat from * around. Join. (48 sts)
Round 5-12: Ch 3. Dc in same st, *dc in next st; repeat from * around. Join. (48 sts)
(Note: this is where you can adjust the length of your hat. If you’d like it longer or shorter, work more or fewer rounds.)
Fasten off.
Use the pom-pom maker to make a pom-pom, and attach it to the hat.
