Spiral Shells Crochet Headband Pattern

Abbreviations
Ch: chain
St/sts: stitch/stitches
Dc: double crochet
Fpdc: front post double crochet
Sk: skip

Gauge
2 stitches/inch in double crochet; or 1 full shell stitch per 2 inches

Crochet Headband Pattern
Chain 44.
Being careful not to twist the chain, join into a circle.
Round 1: Ch 2. Dc in each chain around. Join to the first dc. (44 sts)
Round 2: Ch 1. *Fpdc around st directly below, 3dc in the space between the fpdc just made and the dc next to it, skip 3 sts; repeat from * around. Join to the first fpdc.
Round 3-5: Ch 1. *Fpdc around next fpdc, 3dc in the space between the fpdc just made and the dc next to it; repeat from * around. Join to the first fpdc.
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
