St: stitch
K: knit
Sizes
Toddler (24.5” x 9”)
Child (26” x 10”)
Adult (27.5” x 10.5”)
Gauge
Approximately 2 sts/inch in garter stitch

This cowl can be worn in a variety of ways! Just turn it, flip it, adjust it however you like. It can be worn snug around the neck for cozy warmth, or loose around the shoulders for casual elegance. Plus, many more ways.
Knit Button Scarf Pattern
Toddler
Cast on 49 sts.
Row 1: Knit each st across.
Repeat row 1 until the piece measures approximately 8.5 inches.
Buttonhole row: K4, cast off 2 sts, knit to end of row.
Next row: Knit each st until you reach the 2 cast-off sts from the previous row, cast on 2 sts, knit to end of row.
Next row: Knit each st across.
Next row: Knit each st across.
Cast off.
Attach a large button to the corner opposite the buttonhole on the scarf.
