Size
Approximately 17” x 24” (the size is a personal preference and can be adjusted–see below).
Note
To make this blanket/wrap larger, cast on a larger number of stitches to make the blanket wider. It will have to be an odd number of stitches for the pattern to work out correctly. Then, continue working the pattern until it is the desired length.
Gauge
Approximately 2.25 sts/inch in Lace Pattern.
If you’d like an ad-free PDF file of this pattern that can be downloaded and/or printed, see my shop listing.
Lace Baby Blanket/Wrap
CO 39 sts, using long-tail cast on.
Row 1: Knit each stitch across.
Row 2: K1, *YO, K2tog; repeat from * across. (This is considered the “lace pattern,” and should be worked in this way throughout the pattern.)
Repeat row 2 until the piece measures approximately 24 inches long.
Note: The length is a personal preference. If you’d like your Lacy Baby Wrap to be longer, work more rows. If you’d like it shorter, work until the blanket/wrap is the desired length.
