Today I’m sharing a free easy cowl crochet pattern, and it’s one of my favorites to make! It features the half double crochet stitch and soft worsted weight yarn. Perfect for gift-giving, or make one to match all of your favorite outfits!
Free Easy Cowl Crochet Pattern
Supplies
Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice Yarn
Size J crochet hook
Abbreviations
Ch: chain
Hdc: half double crochet

Easy Crochet Cowl
Chain 75. Being careful not to twist the chains, join into a circle.
Round 1: Ch 1. Hdc in the same ch, *hdc in next ch; repeat from * around. Join to first st.
Round 2: Ch 1. Hdc in same st, *hdc in next st; repeat from * around. Join to first st.
Repeat round 2 until the cowl measures 10-12 inches tall (or desired height).
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
See–it doesn’t get much easier than that! This project is perfect for the beginning crocheter, or a first project for working in the round. It also makes a great “movie watching” or “car riding” project, because there it is so easy to do!
